How C.A.N.I. Help Change Your Life

Today, I was doing some thinking about the direction my life has taken. During this reflection time, I realized that it’s been 20 years since I first started my path of personal growth to help improve the quality of my life.

Back then I was young, depressed and in a bad situation financially and in a destructive relationship before I really started to implement some changes.

Now, I don’t know if you’ve ever been in a place where you feel like life has just beaten you down and you want to give up, it’s not a fun place to be. I was at a point in my life were I felt like I couldn’t handle being in a destructive relationship, unemployed, and depressed, I wanted out. The worst part was, I even considered suicide as a way to escape my pain.

Luckily for me I never took that option…

…instead I made another decision and that was to take whatever action was necessary to change my life, now!

Around the time I wanted to end it all I was exposed to a program that you might of heard about called Personal Power, by Anthony Robbins. I was going through the course when I got a call from a friend who told me that there was an Unlimited Power Weekend happening in our city the coming weekend.

Needless to say, I jumped on this opportunity without any hesitation. I was desperate to make a change in my life and I didn’t care what I had to do to make that happen. I put the course on my credit card and figured I’d find a way to pay for it by the time the bill was due.

Well, that weekend changed my life!

In fact, I managed to get out of my relationship, get a new job and make enough money to pay off the course and cover all my living expenses within two weeks of completing the UPW program. I was sold on the benefits!

One thing that I heard during the program that stood out to me was an idea that Tony called C.A.N.I. which is an acronym that stands for (Constant And Never-ending Improvement). This was based off of the work of Dr. W. Edwards Deming who was credited for helping the Japanese instill quality in everything they do. The Japanese word for this is “Kaizen”. Tony used the English acronym C.A.N.I. to help repatriate an American idea instead of using a Japanese word.

The idea of C.A.N.I. is where you focus on making consistent improvements daily in every area of your life. It can be used with both small things or big things in our life. The whole point is that by making small changes daily our lives can radically improve.

For example:

Let’s say you’re always loosing your car keys and you waste time everyday trying to find them. This little routine cannot only cause you undue stress, and time but can lead to even bigger problems like loosing your job because your always late for work.

The solution would be to put up a key rack right by the door, were you place your keys on the moment you get home. This may take a little getting used to but with constant focus and attention on building this simple routine you will form a habit that will make your life easier.

If you focus on finding small ways to increase the quality of your life you will be surprised at how much things can change in a year. Some people say it’s a 100% improvement. It’s actually more then 100%, because each little improvement that you make daily compounds on itself each and everyday. That is why the results are so amazing if you just stay committed.

A Simple Solution To Earn Money Online

Due to our current economic situation more people are looking for alternative way’s to earn money to cover their day to day expenses. Some people go look for another job and end up just working harder and still falling further behind. Others choose to create an online business that will give them not only the income their looking for but also flexibility in their work schedule.

When it comes to starting an online business there are plenty of choices for people to choose from and plenty of guru’s willing to sell you their advice. This is were the headaches begin for someone just getting started on the Internet.

The hard way. (I’ll reveal the simple solution later.)

Some guru’s tell you to create your own product, build your own website, create a list and market to them. This is fine if you have the knowledge, skills, time and money to invest in getting everything up and running.

My wife and I got our start on the Internet doing just that. We bought a few books and courses to get started, but after a few months we were still banging our heads against the wall trying to put everything together.

That’s when we decided that if we wanted to do this thing the right way we need a mentor and hired one through a leading Internet Marketing company. We wanted someone with a prove system to show us how to do it for ourselves. We must have invested close to $10,000 for the training, materials, software and 6 months of mentorship.

By having a mentor we managed to come up with a product, get a custom website built and learned to market our business online. After spending a few hundred dollars a month on marketing we started building a list and we got our first sale. Since then we have seen consistent growth and results from our first website.

I was also intrigued with Affiliate Marketing. With this system there is no need to spend the time creating your own product. Your job is to drive traffic to the website of the person who created the product and you make a small commission for every sale you make.

After listening to the experts I was told that I needed to create my own blog, so that I can capture peoples information. From there I had to market my blog and build relationships with people so that I would build trust. Once I did this I could market all sorts of products to my list. This turned out to be a very time consuming experience.

This method also took plenty of time to get everything set up properly. Since I spent so much money before setting up our other website I was forced to do everything myself. Luckily for me my wife is really good with computers and programing so this saved me a ton of money.

I started making money from different affiliate programs but was beginning to get frustrated at the low percentages I was making and the time it took to get paid. I was finding most of the affiliate programs took anywhere from 4, 6 or 8 weeks before I saw any money from my efforts. That was until I was introduced to…

Handling Business Frustrations When Things Aren’t Working Your Way

When it comes to doing business there are times when you will experience problems that will definitely challenge you. How you handle these frustrations will determine the level of success that you will experience.

The thing about frustration is that it’s more of a mental game then anything else. There are many different things that can happen to cause people to let their emotions get the best of them. When this happens, to many people just give up and walk away. They end up giving up on something that they were once excited about and was once a dream.

Some people get upset easily. This causes them to get distracted from their original goal and they end up destroying any chance they had of reaching the level of success that they could have experienced if they had just stuck in their.

A good example of this was business launch that happened recently. There were many growing pains, especially for people who lived outside of the USA.

It seemed that everyday there was something else going wrong. If there wasn’t problems with getting the merchant account set up, then there was a problem with the system itself. The launch was so big that the servers kept crashing so people couldn’t sign up. It was one thing after another that seemed to be going wrong.

The amazing part was the comments that people were leaving on the site. Some people took all these challenges with a grain of salt and just stuck in there. Other people kept on complaining, got frustrated and decided to give up and quit.

The people who got upset and left never really gave the opportunity the chance to work for them. They allowed their emotions to get the best of them and kill their dreams.

The question is what do you do when things start going wrong?

Do you get angry, frustrated and totally upset to the point where you walk away and just give up or do you keep going no matter what the obstacles are because you believe in what your doing?

The best way to handle any frustration in life is to take a step back from the situation and look at it from a different angle. Take a moment and ask yourself the following questions:

Is this problem real or perceived?

If I stick it out will I be better off in the long run?

Is this something that can be fixed if given enough time?

Is there something that I can do different to make it the way I want it?

What’s the worst thing that can happen if I stick with this?

These are just a few good questions you can ask yourself. Most problems can be easily fixed with either enough time, money or the right resources.

Let’s take the example above, with the business launch. I was one of the people who experienced some set backs just like others. The difference was that I knew deep down that if I stayed focused and committed to getting things up and running that everything would eventually work out.

Did it take more time then I would have liked? Yes, it did!

Was the wait worth it? Definitely.

So the next time you experience frustration in your business or life decide how your going to handle it. Will you allow this to be a major set back or just a minor bump in the road?
