I receive a lot of emails from people asking me how do they find topics for their blog posts. Since this is something that a lot of people seem to get stuck on and then end up not posting anything on their blog. I decided to do a blog post on it.

That’s a hint for you! One way to get ideas for blog posts is to answer questions either you get from people or that you see other people asking in forums, in person or online.

The other way’s to get great ideas for blog posts are:

1) Giving solutions to problems or challenges that you have personally overcome. Other people are always looking for way’s to make their lives easier.

2) Do reviews on companies or leaders in the industry (keep it positive, no one likes people who are negative.) Remember this is your opinion only!

3) Do a review or write about any resources that you use to help you with your business, blog or internet marketing challenges. If you found something that has made your life easier, saved you time or money then share that with others.

4) See what other people are talking about and add your spin to the conversation. If you can contribute something else of value to the conversation it benefits everyone.

5) Be creative, if you have a question about something in your business or industry chances are a lot more people have the same question. Find the answer and write about it.

What every you do on your blog do it to help others to learn and grow. If you come from the frame of mind that you are here to create value for others then you are on the right track.

I’ve seen some people who turn their blog into a bitch session and are only complaining about stuff. Give solutions to problems and find a way to create value for your readers…people will appreciate you a lot more. Besides you will be attracting a better group of people around you then someone who is negative and constantly complaining.

Another piece of advice, don’t copy others peoples material exactly. Use it as inspiration and to get ideas. If you have their permission to copy it make sure you give them full credit for their work.

So their you have it! These are some simple way’s to get the creative juices flowing and get you to write stuff for your blog. No more excuses! Get out there and write and provide your audience with some great value.
